Family outings in the South East everday throughout the year

Spring as always brings lots of new lives to the farm. Our main lambing always coincides with the Easter holidays although we always have some baby lambs arriving around February half-term. Our ewes are scanned to see if they are having a single lamb, twins or triplets. With an average of 10 ewes lambing each day there is a good chance of seeing a birth. In addition to lambs there are always new calves, chicks, ducklings and the naughtiest of them all - baby goat kids who always try to escape and climb up as high as they can go! On the farm our spring barley is sown.

Summer sees the grass growing fast and we cut as much as we can to make hay (dried grass) and silage (pickled grass) to feed the animals in winter.
